Why fix college football?

Every year at this time the media and fans complain about the problems with college football and the BCS system. We will be subjected to weeks of hearing how it's not fair that a 2-loss team and a team that hasn't played in almost a month will play for the ugly piece of crystal that goes to the BCS champion.

The media will bombard us with reasons why the system is so unfair and how could teams like Missouri be left out of the BCS when they were #1, lost in the title game and now they are resigned to going to a 2nd tier bowl. Or how could Georgia and USC be leftout of the championship, the old "playing the best football right now" argument. Well folks it's simple, there is no way to fix it so that averyone, or most everyone is happy. There is no way to figure out who is the best team even with a playoff system.

The best idea is to get the media out of deciding anything

College football has an almost religious following in several regions of the country. People in Ohio, Michigan, Alabama, Texas seemingly live and die each Saturday with how their favorite does.
