Coaches and fans talk about VY

The Titans are in full spin about Vince Young's progress in Mike Heimerdinger's new offense. VY is doing what he's supposed to do and he is fine, nothing to worry about. VY is picking up the new offense, we want VY to be VY but we also want him to be a QB. Sorry Field Goal Fisher, VY can't be both. He's either the running, throw it to someone in the same jersey; or he's the tall, strong guy who tries to figure out his reads.
The coaches perspective of VY:
"I don't know where all that is coming from," offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger said. "Vince has had one bad day but he bounced right back from that. "Vince is going to be fine," Heimerdinger said. "He's finding the one-on-one situations where he can make the throw and see if the receiver can make a play."
Same old same old from the Titans about VY, we don't say anything bad about Bud's favorite, that's why Chow was run out of town, that and he had no idea what the hell he was doing in the NFL. If he is doing poorly in practice, missing receivers, it's Heimerdinger's fault, he's not doing something right.
"We've thrown a lot at Vince and he's handled it," Heimerdinger said. "It's my job to give Vince all the reads and options, and I didn't do that."
OR
The fans' perspective of VY:
"The football had barely touched turf when the groans came from the other side of the chain-link fence. That's the thing about going public with preseason workouts. Every pass is subject to outside analysis, both by media and by fans.
Hence the prevailing chorus: Vince Young is having a bad training camp. He's throwing interceptions. He's not on the same page with his receivers. Woe is the Titans.
"C'mon, Vince! You've gotta complete that pass!" yelled the guy wearing sunglasses, a Titans cap and a frown.
Basically VY has been VY, great at times, at others looks totally lost at others. He'll never have the accuracy or pocket presence of Manning or Brady but he wins.

If VY was in Dallas, Philly or New York, he might already be labeled a bust even though the Titans were in the playoffs last year. Of course, if this were one of those cities "Field Goal" Fisher would have been fired long ago.
