Jerry Jones is at it again, defending a player with a long history of causing problems, instead if TO and his antics, he's defending a real criminal, Pacman Jones.
This is what Jerry had to say about Pacman's latest incident and whether or not something should be done with Mr. Jones.
On his weekly radio show, Jerry Jones continued the spin control campaign to minimize the damage of Adam "Pacman" Jones' "playful" disagreement with a bodyguard that led to punches being thrown in a hotel bathroom.
"If I suspended Pacman Jones over something like this," Jerry said on 1310 The Ticket, "I would have had to suspend half the team over the last 20 years."
Most of those guys were contributers, I mean how can you expect an owner to suspend a guy who will help him win on Sundays? Ridiculous idea.
And not content to show that he's not a hard-ass Jones continues:
It's ridiculous to be having a conversation about a suspension over this matter," Jerry said. "This was a nothing." True, a fight with a guard hired by your boss to keep you out of trouble is "a nothing"
I almost feel like I'm an enabler," Jerry said, which sounds good until you read the rest of the sentence, "because it's the very people that I have with him that created this. Had we not had that security with him, this wouldn't have happened. Really. Had we not had the security with him, it wouldn't have happened" Huh? If security wasn't with him none of this would have happened? Like he might have hurt someone in the bar and not a security guard? He might have been arrested in a 4th different state? Yup not having security around this guy is the way to go, it worked out soooo well in Tennessee and West Virginia.

Sad part is that several owners are this way and try to make it seem that they are trying to help. They are well aware that if you give talent, money without guidance that they will normally run astray, but the goal is not that, but to win at any cost. This does include the dimise of the individual. Sooner or later the individual has to say, "What the hell is wrong with me. This is crazy."
It's not just the owners, it's in every level of sports. If you're good enough you can almost whatever you want without punishment.
The individual may get to that point when the money, fame and fans are gone but some guys, I do mean the males, never do.
You almost never see this with female athletes probably because it's not a part of the athletic culture for women.
finally got to your page, what gives with that :(
on point: The NFL is looking into this & will have an answer next week re: suspension or a fine.......
