Botox Jerry always has an angle. Not content with forming a company with the Yankees to provide all catering, concessions and retail merchandising at their new stadiums, he is now looking at the NBA as a way to make money at the new Texas Stadium.
The Dallas Cowboys' new stadium will host the 2010 NBA All-Star game, according to multiple reports.
The Dallas Morning News reports an announcement is planned prior to Thursday's Mavericks opener against the Rockets. The game will be held at the Cowboys' new stadium in Arlington, while other events like the dunk contest will be held at American Airlines Center.
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban previously didn't want to bring the event to Dallas because season-ticket holders wouldn't have the chance to attend, but because the new football stadium could hold nearly 50,000 for a basketball game, they could be accommodated.
I am glad that Jerry found a way to make money, I was getting worried that he was going to lose his ass on the new venue.
