Either this article got lost in some of the Super Bowl hype or Cowboy Chris wasn't around to mock Ed Werder and give it some extra juice. The remarks from WR Roy Williams were made on Mike and Mike during Super Bowl week. Williams was discussing his time with the Lions when he said the following:
"You know," Williams said, "we still had a chance to be in the playoffs at 0-5. Guys were still working. I think, actually, Detroit works harder than Dallas on the practice field. I don’t know why it doesn’t transition to the game field on Sunday."
"They really do work hard," he said. "The players stuck together when I was there at 0-5. I don’t know what happened once they got to 0-12, and 13, and 16. I sure they were happy to get the season over and start fresh.”
"They’re better than 0-16," he said. "I was there, and I just think that the coaches didn’t put us in the right position to win ballgames. I didn’t think it was fair to fire Coach Marinelli. I thought he was the best fit for that team. I didn’t think he had a great supporting cast. I’m speaking offensively, that’s all I know.
“But, you know, they got new coaches, so hopefully they can turn it around.”

If what Williams says is true, then the Boys are in even worse shape than I thought. Williams has never been known as a Michael Irvin clone who would work his ass off to get better, Williams
relies on athletic ability. So if he is claiming they don't work as hard, lord help us. Williams claims in Detroit the coaches made the WRs block downfield on running plays, but not in Dallas. Huh???
Imagine the WR that didn't block for Parcells? How about one that doesn't for Belichick, Tomlin, Wisenhunt, Fisher? Hey Botox Jerry and Coach Cupcake, there is one reason why some teams win and other teams lose, they work harder. This trainwreck just keeps getting worse.
