The Titans are facing the possibly of losing TE Bo Scaife. Scaife's agent Kevin Robinson has said that his client will be testing the free-agent market.
"We've had some discussions with the Titans regarding a contract for Bo and nothing is imminent at this point. At this point he is three weeks away from unrestricted free agency so I think it is wise for him to see what unrestricted free agency has out there for him."
"I think it's fair for him to see what his value is in the league. We've advised him that that is what he should do.''
Robinson then goes on to do his job, advocate for his client.
Robinson said Scaife would like to return to Tennessee, and that the lines of communication with the team remain open. But at this point he's not sure the Titans have him valued at what he suspects other teams might.
"He had quite a bit of interest as a restricted free agent last year,'' Robinson said. "We think that same level of interest is still going to be there.''
Despite playing for a $1.47 million contract as a restricted free agent, Robinson feels the market for Scaife will be strong. Scaife is a good TE; he can make plays down the field, he can block and he has stayed healthy. The downside on him coming out of Texas was injuries but he has been very healthy since becoming a Titan.
If that market is indeed there, it will be a nice payday for a guy taken in the 6th round pick in 2006. He played with VY at Texas and if he leaves, VY's most reliable receiver will be gone. But with VY's status undecided for next season, I doubt the Titans will take this into account, especially if it overpaying for a TE.
Wherever Scaife lands next season, he can do some things to help.

man, is FA going to be interesting this year or what?
looks like it.
Scaife is a good player, he could help lots of teams.
well, we have celek who is now coming into his own, or i'd say WE'LL take him.......i see SOMEEEEEE
have Housh coming to the Eagles........WTF lmao!
The great WR syndrome or the old girlfriend syndrome, you remember how great some things were, usually sex, but forget all the crap you had to put up with before you realized it was better for everyone if you split up.
A great WR brought the Eagles to the Super Bowl but man the headasches it took to get there and the ones after.
TJ isn't the headcase TO was but I don't think he's leaving Cincy.
me either, it was reported by that same douche u sent me the donovan article by......so what's that telling u, supposedly Housh said the Eagles interest him on talk radio show.......YA would i like to have him sure, but i'd much rather PONY UP for BOLDIN.....i don't see either of those guys leaving there respective teams!
love you analogy LOL!
love you analogy LOL!
HA, love YOUR analogy LMAO!
The analogy works for soooo many things.
Neither guy is going anywhere because they both are good locker room guys and both are great players. You don't let those guys go.
Housh is just trying to drum up interest in himself @ this point!! Like all good FA's do this time of year.....i love _insert team name here_
etc..etc..etc...LOL!
i'm out cowboy, i'll catcha layta!!
