About three weeks ago I hit the big 4-0, forty officially an old man. I thought of several ways to mark this wonderful milestone but in the end I decided to do the thing I love; go skiing.
So as a present to myself I'm off to Colorado tonight for three days of skiing, skiing and sleeping. Will I be able to ski like I did when I was 20? Nope but who cares, the snow is great out there this year and I don't have to worry about work for a couple of days, what could be better?
The pictures are not of me, they are Billy Kidd, the first American male alpine racer to win an Olympic medal and longtime resident of Steamboat Springs, CO.

I will. I plan to ski, ski and ski. I'll have a drink or two or three we'll have to see how well I'm skiing.
