Corey Edmondson, who was injured while trying to avoid being run over by former Titan Albert Haynesworth is talking about his life after the accident. That's what left of Edmondson's car after he hit a retaining wall.
In this interview with the Tennessean, Edmondson says he has no ill feelings towards Haynesworth and he's trying to recover from his injuries. After the accident Edmondson was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital where he spent two weeks and had several surgeries including a hip replacement.
Edmondson, who weighs more than 400 pounds, has rarely left his home. His attorney, Jon Perry, has repeatedly said that Edmondson is unable to walk or work.
Before the accident, Edmonson said: "I was light on my feet. I cleaned and I helped my friend run a cleaning business."
Now, he said, "I'm not able to move around, or I have to have a walker or wheelchair."
Perry recently said Edmondson's medical bills could total $350,000. His injuries could become long-term issues because of his weight.
Haynesworth has said nothing about the accident except a statement from his agent Chad Speck;
"Albert was involved in an automobile accident in December. It occurred the morning after it had snowed over half an inch the night before in Brentwood and the temperature that morning was in the low 30s. There were slick spots on the road and when the accident occurred Albert immediately pulled over and called the police. He was not cited by officers at the time and did not leave the scene until instructed to do so by a police officer.
"Albert was completely unaware of any injuries sustained by anyone involved in the accident at the time. Mr. Edmonson's injuries are unfortunate and Albert certainly wishes him a very speedy recovery. He promptly turned this matter over to his insurance company."
No one more warm and cuddly than an insurance company, it was the smart thing to do, but it certainly wasn't the compassionate thing to do. Albert and his attorney know he could avoid any suit if he would settle with Edmondson but Haynesworth, or the people advising him seem to have decided against that.
Will the NFL punish him? Probably, he had just completed his probation for reckless driving for chasing a car on I-40 for several miles in his Ford F-650.

guess its good Albert just got paid
because he will have to pay up to that guy
Yes he will. Just the hip replacements he's going to have to have throughout his life are going to cost who knows how much.
