Jake Plummer is keeping busy

Jake Plummer, former NFL QB, who retired in the offseason rather than have to spend the year in Tampa with Chucky Gruden, has taken up a new sport: handball. According to the Denver Post, Plummer loves the sport and has no regrets that he gave up football. Says Plummer: "The NFL is so competitive, but it's also a very cutthroat business at times," Plummer said Thursday as he prepared for his first- round doubles match in the U.S. Open of Handball. "I spent 10 years doing a lot of great things, and I wanted to get out before my career ended the way a lot of other people's careers end. I got out because I wanted to play handball and I wanted to do other things. "I want to play with my kids when they get older. If I had played a few more years, I might not be able to do that. I feel it already, in my knees and my back. Like I said, this sport is not easy, and it brings out all those little ailments that I have. It makes me fully aware of how beat up I got in those 10 years." Finally Plummer admits that handball is his sport of choice and he "will be playing this until I die." I'm glad to hear you are happy Jake, I know Bronco fans are happy that you are no longer around to lose games for them. And your coaches don't miss talking to a guy who just threw another int and asking you Why? Why? didn't you see the safety cheating over before the snap. Come On Jake, get it together. The only ones that miss you are fans like me who wanted to see you flip off the crowd again.
