Jerry Jones continues to prove and prove that he has no idea how to assemble and run an NFL team. He continues to believe that you can just put great talent on the field and they will beat anyone because of talent. Wrong. The past two weeks, the Cowboys have had more talent on the field than either the Rams or the Cards yet came up short both times.
The offense looked good on the first drive then, the offensive line started to play like the fat, slow guys they are and got throw around by a Rams line that sacked Brad Johnson 3 times and was in his face all game long. The O-Line was supposed to be a strength of the team, instead its just a bunch of guys who aren't mean enough to run block and too slow to pass block.
The defense? Wow, what a day stopping Steven Jackson and the Rams awesome running attack, at least was awesome yesterday. Jackson went off for 160 on 25 carries and had 3 TDs. You might think the Rams just ran it and ran it, well they did but the Dallas pass D was also terrible. Marc Bulger went 14 for 19 for 173 with a TD, a 42 yarder to rookie Donnie Avery. At least DeMarcus Ware had a couple of sacks or it would have been a total loss for the Big D.
Roy Williams? One broke his arm the other had zero catches, and now to our favorite player Mr. Owens, or as I call him, "When the going gets tough, TO starts the drops" and yesterday was no different.
When the Cowboys were driving for the first TD of the game TO caught a nice pass for 19 yards, the rest of the way he had 1 catch for 12 yards a couple of drops and grew back his alligator arms letting at least one catchable ball sail over his head without making any effort.
If Parcells was still the coach, TO wouldn't have a damn thing to say about his pitiful performance because he knew Parcells would break him down in the film room and point out his every mistake and the mistakes of every other player. But with "Cupcake Wade" at the helm, TO is free to blame everyone but TO for what happened yesterday.
The happiest guy in all this mess, Jimmy Johnson. He said years ago that if Jerry Jones would not let his football guys handle the football part that the Cowboys would never be as great as they were when he and other foorball was able to run things. He's been right, of course when you have a Hall-of-Fame QB, RB, WR and a great TE it makes you look a whole lot smarter.
Can Jones fix this, not bloody likely.

Jackson is a beast, he needs a better system to play in though!
or play the Cowboys every week, I watched almost all if it even though the Titans were on and giving the Chiefs a whoppin'. People are saying it's like the Barry Switzer days, shudder, at least Switzer won a Super Bowl.
jackson wasn't bestly because of the cowboys, he is beastly on his own. he needs a better O coach behind him though.
titans game was awesome, too bad you missed it. Len ran like crazy yesterday.....
AAAAAAA fk can't spell
BEASTLY not bestly
OI
I'm pretty impressed with the job that Haslett has done so far in St.Louis, he turned around a team that was terrible under Scott Linehan.
sweet, me 2!!
