Fisher stunned LenWhale can run 80 yards

The Titans gave the Chiefs their weekly beating yesterday, the talk around here in lovely NashVegas was the 80 yard run by 235 pound LenWhale White. Or as Jeff Fisher said; "Chris is just a step away from going the distance. No one thought LenDale was a step away from going the distance,'' Coach Jeff Fisher said with a smile. "He must have had a salad for dinner last night."

White is listed at a generous 235 pounds, and the only thing he generally out-runs is the ice cream truck. But in the Titans offenseLenDale isn't supposed to be the speed guy, he's the Jerome Bettis, the guy who gets 2-5 yards and tries to wear a defense down, Chris Johnson is the speed guy, the guy who can go the distance anytime he has an opening.

The Titans did just that against the Chiefs, thanks to a record-breaking rushing performance led by White and Johnson.
Johnson had 168 yards and a 66-yard touchdown while White racked up 149 yards and three touchdowns. The Titans finished with 332 rushing yards, a single-game franchise record.
In the locker room, all the talk was about Johnson's touchdown celebration — he played drums belonging to the Chiefs pep band — and the final strides of White's 80-yard scoring run, which seemed to take forever. The Titans now get Indy on Monday night, and after the way the Colts played on Sunday, they'll need a great performance from their D to win, namely they'll have to stop the Titans running game, I just don't see it.
As good as the Titans are, just what has happened to the Chiefs? They are terrible and if Herm Edwards wasn't buddy-buddy with GM King Carl Peterson, he'd be looking for a job in January. I understand now why LJ has been such a problem, who'd want to give their body to a team that is not just rebuilding, they're almost an expansion team.

I know...but he acts like he's a great back. He has a great line, without them he's another fat RB who can't get out of his own way. Now Johnson, that guy. . .

he played well yesterday for a "fat" back.

That was the slowest 80 yard run in history.. The O-line lapped him twice.
