Jerry Jones has just given Wade Phillips his walking papers by saying that Wade Phillips will finish the season as the Cowboys's head coach. What Jones didn't say was that Phillips would coach all 16 games, just the season. And if he fires Phillips before the Cowboys play the Eagles on December 28th, Phillipps will have coached the season, his season however many games that may be. When your boss says things like this, you know you are in trouble, an owner never says things like this about coaches they are planning to keep.
Said Jones when asked about firing Phillips; "Absolutely, he's going to finish the season, that isn't even a remote consideration."
Of course Cupcake Phillips put his smiley face on the subject; "That kind of talk comes up with coaches all the time when things aren't going well," Phillips said. "Things aren't going well here, I understand that. I've been in the league a long time. But it's not going to affect how we prepare this week."
"I've been around teams that have done it before," Phillips said. "And I believe in this team. I believe in these players. They're going to fight as hard as they can fight and they're going to work hard. They're hard workers and they're determined. And I think that will help us."
And to no one's surprise, the players are also supporting Coach Cupcake;
"Why is this question being asked?" safety Ken Hamlin said. "It doesn't make sense. We've lost a couple of games, but he's done a good job. It doesn't make sense."

shame isn't it, guess a matter of time, BTW your blogs aren't updating again :(
i don't know that i blame this fully on Wade though ;0
It's not Wade's fault, he was chosen because he won't bitch about Jerry being on the sidelines or Jerry getting players who won't really help the team or steal the spotlight from Jerry.
The Boys were scared of film sessions with Parcells but with Coach Cupcake it's no big deal.
I call him Coach Cupcake because that's what he called training camp on "Hard Knocks" not because of his figure.
HA!
JJ been attending the Al Davis School of how to be a pain in the ass owner ;0
