#1 seed does not equal a Lombardi Trophy

As the lone unbeaten in the NFL the Titans are well on their way to the #1 seed in the AFC, or the loser's spot. As good as the #1 seed, and homefield throughout the playoffs sounds rarely has it led to a Super Bowl win. The #1 seeds :

2007: Dallas and New England, New York Giants champs

2006 :Chicago and San Diego, Indianapolis Colts champs

2005 :Indianapolis and Seattle, Pittsburgh Steelers champs

2004: Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, New England Patriots champs

2003: New England and Philadelphia, New England Patriots champs

2002: Oakland and Philadelphia, Tampa Bay Buccaneers champs

2001: Pittsburgh and Chicago, New England Patriots champs

2000: Tennessee and Minnesota Baltimore Ravens champs. The Titans thought they were the best team until the Ravens came to Adelphia and gave them a beat-down.

1999: Jacksonville and St. Louis, St Louis Rams champs, the infamous 1 yard short game, the game where the rest of the country got to see just how damn good Steve McNair was and how he could take the team on his back and almost beat the Greatest Show on Turf. Kevin Carter was so gassed from chasing McNair around that he went off the field late in the 4th quarter as the Titans were driving.

1998: Denver and Minnesota, DenverBroncos repeated as champs

1997: Kansas City and San Francisco, Denver Broncos champs

If you are counting, that's 3 out of 22 or 13% of the time the #1 seed wins the Super Bowl. The chances of getting to the game a much better 8 out of 22 or 36% but no one really cares if you get there, it's winning it that counts and the odds are against you as a #1 seed.

Facts are sticky things...

But I don't see a team in the AFC that can beat them, they can rush the passer and can cover people. No other AFC team can run the ball like they do either and they can certainly stop the run.

But if Collins gets hurt...shudder.

to hell with the facts, they've defied them thus far, have they not?

HUSH about kerry, stop putting the JINXY scooby on them

LMAO!

I don't want him to get hurt, he's like DMac or BW, but if he does
maybe VY will come in a shine.

No, and if we do it's how he's not "part of the team". He's not huddled around the OC when the defense is on the field and since practices are closed we don't know how many reps he's getting.
