Freddie Mitchell, another WR with alot more mouth than talent has resurfaced. FredEx was a constant source of quotes for beat writers and bulletin board material for opponents.
“the Patriots aren't that good.”
"I'd like to thank my hands for being so great.”
"Coach Vermeil asked me not to talk.”
“We're going to help him. And you can't forget we've got Duce Staley back, too. We're going to click, but that's Donovan for you. I mean, Donovan can step onto the Bad News Bears and produce a winner.”
“I would go to battle with T.O. any day of the week. A lot of people don't understand him.”
A Kathleen High standout and first-round draft pick out of the University of California Los Angeles in 2001, Mitchell spent four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, culminating with a 24-21 loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX. Mitchell moved back to Lakeland from Los Angeles while still trying to land a spot on a new team.
That hasn't happened, but he saw a different opportunity: Brothers' BarB-Q was struggling and perhaps ready for a sale. Within a few months, Mitchell had struck a deal with 85-year-old owner Mary Harris.

Quotes from Lakeland Ledger:
"I was wanting to get rid of it for a while, and I thought this might be the opportunity. I was deep in debt from it, too," said Harris, whose late husband, Ernie, opened Brothers' in 1986. "He (Mitchell) sounded as though he would continue to have the same quality that we did."
Since taking over three months ago, Mitchell has poured himself into the six-day work weeks of his new venture, and first foray into the restaurant industry.
Judging from the sauce-stained apron around his waist, he is no absentee owner.
"There's no other way to get experience in the restaurant business. You've got to go and do it. You've got to get your hands dirty. This wasn't a turnkey at all," Mitchell said. "I'm a people person, and it's kinda fun to see everybody and shake people's hands. But I want to learn the business and absolutely know if my cook's out I'll be able to go in and take his spot."
