Hall-of-Fame WR Michael Irvin and Hall-of-Fame QB Troy Aikman have very similar opinions about the Cowboys and as always Irvin has more to say than Aikman does.
Aikman used only three words to sum up the Boys performance against the Eagles simply saying; they didn't show up.
Irvin went further in his comments;
"This was a team that put forth no effort, no effort in two very, very huge, crucial games. The last game at Texas Stadium and then you turn around with a win-and-you're-in game against the Philadelphia Eagles and you show that – no effort. ... They came out as 53 individuals trying to beat a real football team. I don't even call them a football team. They were 53 individuals on a football club. ... It showed, and it was ugly."
Wow.
How long can Botox Jerry ignore the roar around him to change things for the better in Dallas? It's easy to ignore the sock puppets who are calling for change because Jones can tell himself that they don't know anything about football. (true in too many cases)
But how do you ignore two of the best players in franchise history when they say things are broken and need to be fixed?
Irvin and Aikman know what it takes to win it all and they know that it takes a coach who's a hard-ass who has no problem calling players out when they are f--king up. It takes players who want to win and will work as hard as they can to win. Leadership from players and coaches.
In other words the two things that the Cowboys have zero of. If a dumb blogger like me can figure it out surely a smart guy like Botox Jerry can do the same.

i have no clue why ppl. are still beating each other up over this game. but anyway.....the latest off the rumor mill is 2010 for shanahan. sorry so many feel the need to keep hashin this loss. hopefully next year, things can be different for your team!
Irvin was pissed about the last two games and what he sees on the field, just like Tom Jackson really seems to hate how the Denver D played this season. Those guys have alot of pride, I can understand how they feel.
Shanahan would be great, Jones must have some money troubles to not go after Shanahan right now.
what in dahell are all these "links to posts" things....i see? below the replies???
getting back to the post: i would assume jerry has wade under contract until 2010. if he lets him go he still has to pay him. jerry ain't about losing money, NONE of the team owners are.
as for as irvin etc...being pissed about what they saw on the field, ok, but really they don't play the game anymore, so why keep hashing it for those that are trying to move past it ?
or, maybe some aren't.....me, it's old news, time to focus on what's important for the team to get back in tip top shape!
