Titans doing what they can to help VY

Despite the negative reviews from numerous sock puppets of his performance Sunday night, including NBC commentators who think the Titans should release VY at the end of the year, the coaching staff is doing what they can to help.

They are ignoring comments and headlines like these:

Nancy Gay of NFLFanhouse; " The verdict on Vince through one outing? Not so hot."

ESPN's Paul Kuharsky:"If you don't think quarterback Patrick Ramsey looked better than Vince Young, particularly in the command department, you weren't watching the same game I was."

Boston Herald:"Kerry Collins outplays Vince Young"

And some guy named Mason Lerner who writers for The Faster Times; "A good arm doesn’t guarantee success. But until VY learns that in the NFL quarterbacks win with their arm and not their legs, the only thing he will be using his throwing arm for is carrying a clip board."

I could go on but I think the point is made; VY stunk it up and Patrick Ramsey should be given the #2 job. Let's just slow down and catch our breath, it's one pre-season game. Let's also remember two things about Patrick Ramsey; he's a former 1st round pick of the Redskins, he was the supposed to be the guy in DC, instead he was gone after 4 seasons. He spent the next season with the Jets and was with the Broncos. Not exactly a stellar resume, especially when you look at his career stats; 35 TDs, 30 INTs, 78 sacks and a superb passer rating of 74.9...wow.
To help counter the criticism, the coaching staff has done two things; first they talked about the good things VY did on Sunday night and their plans to start him at least once this preseason; and second they are running plays this week that play to VY's strengths as a runner and passer. Jeff Fisher explained it like this; "We have some things that we are going to work on and this is one area where we haven't gotten as much work as we would like."
The guy who was happiest with the new plays was of course VY. "I have been running option since high school. So I am used to that,'' Young said. "I am just a player, when they call plays I go out and execute. … If that is going to help us win ball games, getting me and C.J. out on the corner, on the edge, one-on-one with a DB, I am with it.''
"It definitely can work, as long as you have 11 guys buying into the scheme,'' Young said.
Hopefully this leads to success for VY.

I'm still hoping he figures it out and get his s*** together before it's too late. I'm a big fan of Young's and I really want to see him do well.

If they do release him where do you think he would do best??

Hard to say, he can be a great QB or he can look like he's completely lost sometimes.

Same thing happened to Steve Young when he was with the Bucs. If Vince can find a team with a system that utilizes his skills like Steve did, then he might actually make the HOF like he said lol I'm pulling for the guy
