Unlike sports talk radio hosts, ESPN sock puppets or know-it-all bloggers, I'm not afraid to say I was wrong. Dead wrong about VY. At the beginning of the season I felt he had played his last games as a Titan. After his quitting on the Titans against the Jags and then his strange behavior right after that game I figured that Field Goal Fisher was done with VY.
My belief was further reinforced when Field Goal Fisher stuck with Kerry Collins despite it being clear to everyone but him that something had to be changed. I'm convinced FG Fisher would have stuck with Collins had Bud Adams not gotten involved.
In fact Adams had to tell FG Fisher in no unceratin terms to start VY. "I have been wanting [Fisher] to play Vince Young more because [Kerry] Collins has been having his problems out there," Adams told The Tennessean last week. "I just think we need to find out how well [Young] can do.
"If you don't play the guy and lose all your games, it is hard for you to see what he can do for you. Vince has won a lot of games for us.''
It still took Fisher 2-3 days before he would announce VY was the starter.
I figured after FG Fisher did announce VY was the starter he would look for the first sign of him not doing the joband pull him, but to VY's credit he hasn't given FG Fisher a reason to take him out. From the looksof the sideline last night, FG Fisher is his biggest fan, you'd never know that FG Fisher and the coachig staff had lost confidence in VY.
Keep up the good work VY and again, I was wrong.

he just needed time to sit and learn
much like Jeff did with McNair
VY has played well, but the reason you're winning is the sheer force of karma this is Brett Kern. He was 6-0 with the Broncos, and they are winless since cutting him, and you guys were 0-6, and now undefeated since signing him. Look to the punter!
Punter karma...we'll take it.
it takes a big man to admit when you are wrong. i applaud that.
