Jessica Simpson just notched her first No.-1 country album, how I don't know I thought country fans had some brains. Guess it was the only new country album that came out. Now Simpson also wants to give herself some credit for finding the "love of her life", Tony Romo.
"Tony is a great quarterback, but he's a better boyfriend," Simpson, 28, told PEOPLE at a Nina's Night Out, a benefit for the Rape Crisis Center at the Palms Casino Resort's Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas on Thursday. "I'm seriously proud of myself for letting him into my life." Not content to pat herself on the back for finding a boyfriend she continues telling People how hard it can be to be with her.
"Through all the chaos and torment and everything I go through, I can lay in his arms and finally rest," she added. Having her cuddled up next to him isn't always such a relief, admitted Simpson. "To be my man, you have to put up with a lot," said the singer. "I toot under the sheets, I spend a lot of money and I can belch the ABC's."
Prove it Jessica, I'm still not sure you can say your ABCs and I want to know if she has any limits as to what she will tell people about herself.
She also tried to explain why she forgot lyrics to one of her songs, and her explanation shockingly makes no sense. Simpson forgot the lyrics to one of her best-known pop songs, "With You." "I did the same thing on Good Morning America," said an apologetic Simpson, referring to her tech-challenged TV spot before starting the song over again. Afterwards, she said, "I've been singing that song for about 70 years and I forgot the lyrics. At least you guys knew them."
Jessica, I'm so glad that you are happy with Tony, you have no idea how happy I am that you plan to spend the rest of your life making the Cowboys a worse football team. It wasn't enough that Jerry Jones got rid of Jimmy Johnson in favor of Barry Switzer, then hired Wade Phillips to replace Bill Parcells. But those moves have not done as much to destroy the Cowboys as you have. Thanks Jessica. Please just keep to making crappy music and stupid comments that make no sense, it's your true calling.

She said something like that in the article in People how she has issues with her self-esteem and exactly the things you are describing.
The country thing I think is more from her dad than from Tony, I don't know if he's a country fan or not. He did date Carrie Underwood but that just means he's a fan of hot singers not their music.
I think it's her weird-ass old man is the one who wants her to continue to make money off her singing and he thinks country music is an easier way than pop or whatever it was she did before.
The bottom line is that she'll continue to draw criticism because she's not real likable, seems like she's doing things for the publicity and not for herself. I'm not sure that made much sense but I think you get what I mean.
